New Long Term Doctor

Shakespeare Surgery is tremendously proud to announce that Dr Devaney has agreed to join the surgery for the longer term and become a "partner". The other "partners" are very pleased he has agreed to join us in this way as it means his skills and commitment will now be available for the coming years to all our patients.

Shakespeare Surgery is proud to be working in partnership with MASTA Travel Clinics and is now the official partner for Wigan and surrounding areas. MASTA Travel Clinics are an established group of quality Travel Clinics and is British Airways Preferred Partner for travel health services. In these days of easy exotic foreign travel, please remember to book in for travel advice before departing if you are unsure of what jabs you may need.

Appointment of New GP Registrar

We were delighted to welcome in February 2010 our new GP Registrar Dr Sara Hassan Abdel-Gafar. Se has been working locally at Wigan Infirmary on the GP training scheme and was recently based at another of our local practices at the Atherton. As a result she is used to the local NHS services available. She will be with us for 6 months from February 2010.
