Dr Tim Dalton
Mb. BChir. BSc (Hons) MRCGP DRCOG
Dr Dalton trained at St Thomas’s Hospital London and graduated from Cambridge University in 1993. He also has a Medical Management degree from City University, London. He took over the practice in 2000 from the retiring previous GP. He has slowly grown the practice and was instrumental in the recent move to the modern premises that we now operate from. His interests in medicine are wide ranging but he particularly specialises in Medical Training and mentoring/coaching. He also maintains an interest in Occupational Health. A lot of his time currently is spent working on Practice Based Commissioning with a large group of neighbouring practices. He strongly believes in patient autonomy and a holistic approach to care and this is reflected in the approach that the practice has taken.
Dr Mausumi Roy MBChB DRCOG MRCGP
DFFP
We are fortunate to have joining us full time since October 2006 Dr Roy. She graduated from Aberdeen university in 1998 and trained to be a GP in various hospitals in the north of Scotland. After this she worked in the Fife area until 2005 when she swapped to working locally at Ashton. While enjoying the wide variety of challenges presented by general practice, her particular interests lie in Diabetes, Women's health and Family Planning. Her consultation style is very much patient-centred and this is reflected in the excellent satisfaction results she received from our patients in a recent survey. She is currently also our Lead GP Trainer.
Dr Adam Devaney MD nMRCGP
Dr Devaney graduated from Philipps University, Marburg in Germany in 2002. In the last few years he has worked at the local Infirmary in various specialities including paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology and psychiatry. He has completed his training in General Practice at a surgery in Atherton, where he has made a great impression on the team and local patients, who were all sorry to see him leave. He has been well received by our local patients and has developed a strong following.
